December Update

Here's an early Christmas present for all of our faithful followers (if they still exist?)

We've been working hard on the next version of Simufarm, working for days on end to get it working. We're not finished yet, but we're certainly not far off a working simulator.

There's still a bit of polish to be done, and a few features need finishing off. But once we're done with that, We'll have plenty of screen shots and chances for you to join our beta team. Then we'll be opening up Simufarm for our beta testers. Now you're probably wondering what we've got working so far, so here's a short list:

  • Custom Vehicles (That's a given)
    • Powerful scripting system for controlling your vehicle and the world
  • Custom maps
    • Want one map? Sure, Want two? Why not.. Want 3? No problem. Simufarm can support an almost unlimited number of maps
  • Physics
    • What good is a tractor if it doesn't obey the laws of physics?
  • Saving/Loading
    • Well it's no good if you can't save your progress. But this is no ordinary saving and loading, we've added out own special twist
  • Script System
    • Normal vehicle files not powerful enough for you? Then create almost anything using the javascript script system. (Powered by V8)

Happy 2009. Here's what's been hapening.

CellSpace3D
Dan's been hard at work with Cell, adding more and more features. I'm not going to list every single feature, but it's looking good. There is Hydrax water (oo shiney) and a vehicle script loader. Theres still lots of work to do. The game pictured below is Codename "Wildcat" work-in-progress.



CellEditor
I've been leaving dan to it for now, to focus on CellEditor - a map editor for CellSpace engine. There's not alot to say about this. You can add objects, position and rotate them, add heightmaps, and there's quite a decent entity system with custom atributes for making things like spawn points.



Dan's stepping back a bit from Cell to focus on his exams. Meanwhile i'll crack on with the editor. We'll keep you updated.

Merry Christmas Everybody!

Well, another year is almost over and we'd just like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!
We are also busy working on a new secret project that we will announce soon(ish Roll Eyes ).

Anyway, It's a good night from me, and a goodnight from him.

CeLLSpace3D Progress

Here's the latest progress with CeLLSpace3D, the engine behind our future games.

So far, Rendering, Input, Resources, and some GUI and Terrain are done. Dan's been doing all the work on it and i've been researching other stuff, like level/heightmap design. Ok so i've not been doing alot, but i don't think Dan wants me poking around with the source quite yet..
